Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data.

Effective: February 21, 2026 · Last updated: September 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Bhagavan.ai collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal data when you use our website, applications, AI features, Family Guide, community features, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Who We Are

The operator and, where applicable, data controller for the Service is New England App Makers LLC, doing business as Bhagavan AI. We process personal data in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection laws.

2. Personal Data We Collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

  • Account data: such as email address, authentication identifiers, account status, and security information.
  • Conversation and content data: prompts, messages, generated responses, files or images you submit, conversation history for signed-in users, and content you choose to save or share.
  • Preferences and personalization data: consent choices, language or content preferences, spiritual-practice preferences, personalization settings, and optional memory information.
  • Family Guide data: parent-managed child-profile information such as a display label, age band, consent status, family guidance context, and related parent or guardian settings.
  • Community and feedback data: posts, comments, reports, moderation information, ratings, bug reports, and feedback you submit.
  • Technical and usage data: IP-derived or network information, device/browser information, timestamps, logs, feature usage, security events, diagnostics, and performance information.
  • Support and payment-related data: support requests and, when you make a voluntary contribution, transaction-related information needed to process or support the payment. Payment providers may collect payment-card or financial details directly under their own privacy practices.

3. Sensitive and Spiritual Information

Because Bhagavan.ai is a spiritual platform, information you choose to provide may reveal religious or philosophical beliefs, devotional practices, preferred deities or traditions, family religious context, emotional concerns, or other information that some laws treat as sensitive or specially protected.

We process this information to provide features you request, personalize the Service when enabled, support safety and security, and carry out your privacy choices. Where applicable law requires explicit consent or another specific legal condition for sensitive data, we will rely on the applicable condition or limit the processing. Please do not submit sensitive information that you do not want processed as part of the Service.

4. AI Conversations, Model Routing, Retrieval, and Memory

Bhagavan.ai may process your Input with AI models, retrieval systems, knowledge graphs, safety systems, and related components to generate responses and provide requested features. Our architecture supports self-hosted AI inference. Some deployments or features may also use a configured third-party AI provider, in which case the Input and context reasonably necessary to generate a response may be transmitted to that provider.

Retrieval-augmented generation may combine your question with relevant scripture, metadata, source material, graph context, or other knowledge from BhagavanAI's content systems before generating an answer.

AI memory is a separate consent choice. When you enable persistent AI memory, Bhagavan.ai may retain selected spiritual or personal context across sessions so future conversations can be more continuous. The memory system is designed to check the applicable memory-consent setting before recalling or retaining optional persistent AI memory. Available privacy tools may allow you to review, export, amend, invalidate, or delete memory data.

BhagavanAI does not currently operate a generative-model training or fine-tuning pipeline on private conversation content as part of normal chat operation. If we introduce a materially different use of private conversation content to train or fine-tune generative models, we will provide additional disclosure and obtain consent where required before that use. Expressly submitted feedback, evaluations, or de-identified or aggregated operational information may be used to improve quality, reliability, and safety as permitted by law.

5. Safety, Security, and Moderation Processing

We may use automated and manual processes to detect abuse, fraud, security threats, policy violations, harmful community content, or potential safety and crisis signals. These systems may analyze content, account information, and technical metadata. Automated safety systems are imperfect and do not constitute real-time emergency monitoring.

6. Child Privacy and Family Guide

Bhagavan Family Guide is designed for parent or guardian use. Children do not receive independent Bhagavan.ai accounts in the Family Guide launch path. A parent or guardian may create parent-managed child profiles using limited information such as a display label, age band, consent status, and family guidance context.

For children under 13, we require verifiable parental consent before child-profile information is used for authenticated child-context features where required by our launch flow and applicable law. Parents and guardians can review, export, update, revoke consent for, or delete child-profile information through the account privacy tools or support channels, subject to lawful retention requirements.

We may apply age gates and block child self-registration. Parents and guardians should not create an independent adult-style account on behalf of a child to bypass those controls.

7. How We Use Personal Data

We may use personal data to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, and personalize the Service;
  • authenticate accounts and protect account security;
  • generate AI responses and retrieve relevant source context;
  • provide optional AI memory when you have enabled it;
  • operate Family Guide and parent-managed child features;
  • moderate community features and respond to reports;
  • detect fraud, abuse, safety issues, and security threats;
  • provide support and administer voluntary contributions;
  • measure performance and improve reliability, quality, accessibility, and safety;
  • send communications you request or consent to receive;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

8. Legal Bases for Processing

Where a law requires us to identify a legal basis, we may rely on performance of a contract, your consent, legitimate interests, compliance with a legal obligation, protection of users or the Service, or another basis available under applicable law. The basis depends on the data, feature, purpose, and jurisdiction.

Optional processing such as non-essential cookies, certain analytics or marketing uses, and persistent AI memory is subject to the consent or choice controls presented in the Service where required. You can withdraw consent for future optional processing through available privacy settings; withdrawal does not make prior lawful processing unlawful.

9. How We Disclose Personal Data

We may disclose personal data in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers and processors: vendors that support hosting, infrastructure, databases, authentication, payments, communications, observability, analytics, customer support, security, external data, or configured AI processing, subject to appropriate contractual or legal protections where required.
  • At your direction: when you choose to publish, share, export, connect, or otherwise disclose content through a feature.
  • Legal and safety reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, valid government requests, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or secure the Service.
  • Business transactions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.
  • With consent: when you authorize another disclosure.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not currently use personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising. See Your Privacy Choices for applicable opt-out and consent controls.

10. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local or session storage, and similar technologies for functions such as authentication, security, preferences, and, with consent where required, analytics or other optional purposes. See our Cookie Notice and Privacy Center to review or change available choices.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the Service, maintaining security and integrity, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods can differ by data type and feature.

You may request deletion through available privacy tools. Some data may remain for a limited period in backups, security records, fraud-prevention records, legal holds, or other records we are required or permitted to retain by law.

12. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. International Data Transfers

BhagavanAI and its service providers may process data in countries other than the country where you live. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, we use an appropriate legal mechanism or other lawful basis for the transfer.

14. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal data; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising uses; appeal certain privacy-request decisions; or lodge a complaint with a privacy regulator.

You can exercise available rights through our Privacy Center, review Your Privacy Choices, or contact us through support. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

15. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may link to or interoperate with third-party websites, services, payment providers, identity providers, data providers, or content sources. This Privacy Policy does not govern a third party's independent handling of data that it collects directly from you.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Service, technology, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy and update the "Last updated" date. We may provide additional notice of material changes where appropriate or required by law.

17. Contact

For privacy-related requests or questions, use the Privacy Center or contact us through the support options provided in the app.
